Understanding The Causes of Gout

Gout is a type of arthritis that also scratches the joint parts. This disease is characterized by activities in the joint which can then bulge up because of too much crystallization from the uric acid. There are a lot of possibilities as to what causes gout but it is mostly caused by certain types of meals. Gout attacks will also preclude you from every dayactivities.

So what causes gout? Gout is caused by the build up of uric acid inside your bloodstream. The the crystals reaches excessive levels where it cannot eliminate much of it. These crystals react differently from the joints which causes discomfort and swelling.

Uric acid originates from purines. Purines are a substance that comes naturally from the body but also present in alcohol, meat, along with other food. As the digestive tract processes purines, it changes them into uric acid.

During metabolism about two-thirds of uric acid is created by the kidneys while the rest is made by the digestive system. The normal process should be that the uric acid usually dissolves in the blood and passes out of the body through the kidneys in the form of urine. If your body does not excrete uric acid normally, then crystals will form. This is the cause of gout.

One of the many foods that can cause gout is bacon. Bacon tastes so good. However, a lot of us know that bacon is not well suited for our overall health. Bacon contains high sodium fats content which causes heart diseases.

Drinking an excessive amount of alcohol is also one of the primary causes of gout. Why? Alcohol can attack the kidneys which make it more difficult for them to remove the uric. Thus, you should limit your intake of alcohol before uric acid spreads out to your joints.

Some seafood that has a lot of purine includes anchovies, cod, oysters, dish eggs, and more.
